  • Creating a new document

Module 2: Basic Typing Skills

  • Typing words and sentences

  • Using spacebar, enter, and backspace

  • Capital letters and punctuation

  • Practicing simple sentences

Module 3: Editing Text

  • Selecting text

  • Copy, cut, and paste

  • Undo and redo actions

  • Fixing mistakes

Module 4: Basic Formatting

  • Changing font size and style

  • Bold, italic, underline

  • Text color basics

  • Aligning text (left, center, right)

Module 5: Inserting Elements

  • Adding pictures

  • Inserting shapes

  • Simple bullet lists

  • Keeping documents visually simple

Module 6: Saving & Printing

  • Saving work properly

  • Naming files clearly

  • Basic printing skills

Beginner Project

  • Create a “My Daily Routine” document

  • Include:

    • Title

    • 3–5 sentences

    • One picture

    • Simple formatting

Advanced Level: Microsoft Word Skills

Course Overview

Students will develop stronger document creation skills, organization, and independence using more advanced tools.

Module 1: Document Organization

  • Margins and spacing

Module 2: Advanced Formatting

  • Styles and themes

  • Line spacing and paragraph formatting

  • Borders and shading

  • Creating professional-looking documents

Module 3: Working with Lists & Tables

  • Bullet and numbered lists

  • Creating tables

  • Organizing information clearly

  • Formatting tables

Module 4: Inserting Advanced Elements

  • Headers and footers

  • Page numbers

  • Adding links

  • Inserting WordArt or design elements

Module 5: Review & Editing Tools

  • Spell check and grammar check

  • Using suggestions

  • Track changes (basic introduction)

  • Improving readability

Module 6: Real-World Documents

  • Writing a letter

  • Creating a simple report

  • Designing a flyer

  • Building a resume (basic level)

Advanced Projects (Choose One)
