  • Clicking, double-clicking, and dragging

  • Typing basic letters and numbers

  • Using common keys (enter, spacebar, backspace)

  • Practicing control and coordination

Module 3: Understanding the Desktop

  • Icons and folders

  • Opening and closing programs

  • Saving and finding files

  • Keeping files organized

Module 4: Introduction to the Internet

  • What is the internet

  • Opening a web browser like Google Chrome

  • Visiting safe websites

  • Understanding links and navigation

Module 5: Basic Internet Safety

  • Not sharing personal information

  • Recognizing safe vs. unsafe websites

  • Asking for help when unsure

  • Understanding passwords (basic level)

Module 6: Simple Online Activities

  • Watching educational videos

  • Playing safe learning games

  • Basic searches (with supervision)

  • Following step-by-step instructions online

Beginner Project

  • Create a “My Favorite Website” activity

    • One image or description

    • 2–3 sentences

Advanced Level: Computer & Internet Skills

Students will build independence using computers and the internet for communication, organization, and real-world tasks.

Module 1: File Management & Organization

  • Creating folders and subfolders

  • Saving files in correct locations

  • Naming files clearly

  • Managing downloads

Module 2: Internet Navigation & Research

  • Using search engines like Google Search

  • Writing effective search questions

  • Evaluating websites for accuracy

  • Bookmarking useful pages

Module 3: Online Communication

  • Introduction to email

  • Writing and sending messages

  • Basic etiquette (polite communication)

  • Understanding attachments

Module 4: Online Safety & Digital Responsibility

  • Strong passwords

  • Recognizing scams and suspicious links

  • Understanding privacy

  • Digital footprint awareness

Module 5: Using Online Tools

  • Using cloud storage (Google Drive basics)

  • Completing forms online

  • Using educational platforms

  • Basic collaboration tools

Module 6: Real-World Technology Skills
